Niruti was built around a simple belief: when you know who made a saree, where it was woven and what it carries, you choose it differently—and keep it longer.

The beginning

Tradition,

Since 2014, Niruti has travelled through India’s weaving traditions to bring together sarees with a clear identity—not anonymous silk, but Paithani from Yeola, Banarasi from Varanasi, Kanjeevaram from Kanchipuram and many more.

Each piece is selected for the integrity of its silk, the character of its handloom weave and the beauty that only patient making can leave behind.

Beside the loom

The hand remains in the cloth.

A handloom saree is not made at the speed of a machine. Warp is set, the shuttle passes thread by thread, and the border grows slowly under the maker’s eye.

Small variations are not flaws to be erased. They are traces of judgement, rhythm and touch—the quiet proof that a human being stood behind the fabric.

For Renuka, selling a saree begins with explaining it—its weave, its place, its making and the occasion it may one day remember.

That personal way of choosing remains at the heart of Niruti. Whether online or during a visit to the Pune studio, the aim is the same: to help each woman find a saree she will value beyond a single celebration.
